Twitter Experience

What did you learn from using Twitter?  Think about the content that you gained from
those you followed as well as what you learned about Twitter itself.

I learned a lot from Twitter. I think the most important thing that I gained from Twitter was the #edchat. I am so excited to grow as a professional and join more of them. After joining just 1 #edchat I already grew my PLN and learned so many important things about professional developments. I love Richard Byrne's blog. I will continue to get updates on it so it is great to know I now have all those resources out there to check and use daily.

Who was the most interesting person or persons that you followed?  Why?  Be specific
and provide examples.

I think someone else that it is very important that I follow now is Jerry Blumengarten. He is an educator and writer and really had a lot of good points during the #edchat. And not also that he personally sent me the information to his blog which I would have never known that it if he had not. On his blog he has other chats that take place which I can't wait to take part of. There is a chat that is just specific to 3rd grade teachers which is awesome! He also has printables and links to many other sites and blogs! I think once I have a chance to truly explore a little more my PLN is going to grow even more.

Do you think you’ll continue to use Twitter personally, professionally and/or both
after this assignment is complete?  Why or why not?

I KNOW that I will continue to use Twitter both professionally and personally. I do still like to follow the "celebrities" just because it is fun. But I now have all of these resources and people available and many more chats that I can join on a regular basis. Not only is Twitter fun, but it is true when you share your ideas people are more likely to share them with you. Can't wait to explore more! :)

Free Technology for Teachers Blog Ideas

I am now following Richard Byrne on Twitter and also following his blog. I was looking through his blog and found so many great resources.
One that I am going to start using tomorrow is the 3 websites that he has found for online story reading. The students in my classroom already love listen to reading but having more choices would be even more great; because I know that they do get tired of BookFlix.

I am going to add the links to this blog so that my students can come to our blog and get to the websites quickly and easily. What a great resource! And they are all free! :)

HERE IS MY VERY FIRST SCREENR for my students on how to take pictures from the internet and put them into a word document. My students will be finding their own pictures for their non-fiction writing project so this is a great way to show them how to do it! :)
