Twitter Experience

What did you learn from using Twitter?  Think about the content that you gained from
those you followed as well as what you learned about Twitter itself.

I learned a lot from Twitter. I think the most important thing that I gained from Twitter was the #edchat. I am so excited to grow as a professional and join more of them. After joining just 1 #edchat I already grew my PLN and learned so many important things about professional developments. I love Richard Byrne's blog. I will continue to get updates on it so it is great to know I now have all those resources out there to check and use daily.

Who was the most interesting person or persons that you followed?  Why?  Be specific
and provide examples.

I think someone else that it is very important that I follow now is Jerry Blumengarten. He is an educator and writer and really had a lot of good points during the #edchat. And not also that he personally sent me the information to his blog which I would have never known that it if he had not. On his blog he has other chats that take place which I can't wait to take part of. There is a chat that is just specific to 3rd grade teachers which is awesome! He also has printables and links to many other sites and blogs! I think once I have a chance to truly explore a little more my PLN is going to grow even more.

Do you think you’ll continue to use Twitter personally, professionally and/or both
after this assignment is complete?  Why or why not?

I KNOW that I will continue to use Twitter both professionally and personally. I do still like to follow the "celebrities" just because it is fun. But I now have all of these resources and people available and many more chats that I can join on a regular basis. Not only is Twitter fun, but it is true when you share your ideas people are more likely to share them with you. Can't wait to explore more! :)

  1. Nice post, Jaime! I really enjoyed your comments. I am glad you now see the power of Twitter to connect you to others, collaborate, and share ideas. You are right on when you said, "Not only is Twitter fun, but it is true when you share your ideas people are more likely to share them with you." That is the name of the game! That is why it is so important to blog about things so you can easily tweet them out when you are in a chat! I am excited for you to keep learning and growing long after class is done via Twitter!
